Kup

- Kup is a more rectilinear looking downlighter than Mini Cake. The conical shape, which finishes in a fine edge, makes this luminaire an instant classic. It might be the successor to the other Modular classic: Lotis.
Kup is suitable for universal use due to the extensive range of light sources that can be used. And its biggest advantage is of course its IP value of 55. This makes Kup useful for damp rooms such as bathrooms, wellness room or a patio.

Mini Cake

- Cake is an old faithful in the Modular portfolio. This luminaire was launched in a LED version for the first time two years ago, with the potential of controlling it with both tuneable white and RGB (with colour). Cake’s organic shape has given new meaning to the
word ‘luminaire’. The diffuser lets the light spill out as it were over the edges of the luminaire.
For those who like Cake there will be a smaller variant this year: Mini Cake. Cake’s special light experience is reflected in this luminaire, but on a smaller scale. Mini Cake’s additional trump card is its IP value of 55. With an IP of 55, Mini Cake can be used in damp spaces or even outside. It is therefore ideal for recessing in bathrooms, canopies, pool-houses and residential or professional wellness facilities. Mini Cake can of course be used in other spaces too.

Doze

- Modular is launching a new range of orientation lighting with LED: Doze. This luminaire is available in a round or square shape and has a stout rim in white or black with a polycarbonate diffuser. The nice thing is that Doze fits perfectly into a standard electric recess fitting, which is found in every (new) building. Moreover, it does not matter whether this is round or square.

-
(New Products)
Chapeau

- We should take our hats off for this luminaire. Chapeau was given its name after its inside: it looks like Robin Hood’s hat.
This recessed luminaire is available in two variants: one for recessed mounting with a rim, which makes a beautiful contrast on the ceiling and one for full recessed mounting so that Chapeau’s subtle form is absorbed in the architecture. Suitable as an eye catcher as well as for the subtle shaping of space.
As with Stove, Chapeau’s big innovation is in the tilting system. When fully folded up in its shell, Chapeau is a ‘downlighter’, you can see a glimpse of the rim of its bulb holder. The bulb housing is placed asymmetrically opposite the rim of the luminaire. However, the bulb housing can also be fully tilted outwards, enabling Chapeau to produce a clever wash effect on the walls. This way the walls are lit in a very special way.

Flat moon Square

- While Modular brought home the most mysterious heavenly body last year with Flat Moon, it now brings a new, organic edition of Flat Moon in the shape of a rounded off square or rectangle.
The special thing about this design resides in the fact that not only are the corners rounded off (vertical), but the sides are also rounded (horizontal). This gives it a softer volume together with the rounded corners. Both in the residential and the professional environment, Flat Moon appeals to the imagination. This luminaire is available in a square design as well as a rectangular one. The luminaires can be installed in different formats for a playful effect.
-
-
(New Products)
Stove

- Modern but playful in the same luminaire. The name of Stove did not come out of the blue. Look at this luminaire from the ground up and you will clearly see the outline of a stove in the body of the lamp, with the asymmetric foot as the flue.
Stove is the result of pure geometry and has been perfected down to the smallest detail. Its lines follow each other tightly and balance this robust luminaire. Stove’s special feature is the double pivot points, making this a particularly versatile and very directional spot with 370° rotation and a 90°angle of inclination. In contrast to ordinary spotlights, Stove features a very compact distance between the ceiling and the bulb housing without loss of its extreme agility. The chrome plated and matt black ring around the light source produce a special contrast and give the spot a fitting finish.

Qliv

- Qliv is a discrete, functional lighting fixture with a subtle outer ridge and recessed lighting source. A must-have in the outdoor lighting collection. The state of the art dimmable LED module with its high quality reflector is surrounded by a white or black structure housing. When mounted in a ceiling, the subtle outer ridge of the Qliv helps shield the light source from the eye, making it look even more recessed. The flood version of the light source creates a broad lighting beam and is also available in warm or ice white.
Thanks to the IP67 rating, its compact build-in size and efficient luminous output, Qliv is perfectly suited for penthouses, residential and professional spas and pool houses.

Scotty

- Following the successful launch of the Spock, Modular is now pushing the boundaries of the flat LED disc yet again. Meet Scotty, an eye-catching, refined luminaire that is able to blend into the architecture. An architectural luminaire that gets back to bare basics: an asymmetric rotating, homogenous light source combined with an ingenious hinged joint enhanced by some perfectly executed fine details. Wiring and hinges are integrated seamlessly into the design so that the Scotty is an enhancement to any surroundings.

United

- In simple terms, United is a naked ‘seamless’ TL lamp in a powder coated aluminum housing. It is precisely that plain simplicity that makes it so special. To start with, the exposed lamps ensure higher efficiency, thus reducing power consumption. That efficiency can be increased even further when selecting a white interior to amplify light reflection. United consists of
one or more U-profiles, which are available with or without a cover.
Anyone who believes fluorescent lights cannot create a cozy look should definitely rethink their view. United is the ultimate tribute to the fluorescent tube lamp. It radiates a warm, white color and is a welcome sight, in either white or black.

Flat Moon

- Like an enchanting and atmospheric full moon, Flat Moon shines its uniform light into the room. Characterized by great lighting performance and elegance, this easy-to-fit ceiling fixture with its integrated ballast definitely has a lot of appeal.
Under its aluminium housing, in black or white structure, Flat Moon conceals a set of dimmable, low-energy fluorescent lamps and the necessary ballast unit. It can be suspended or mounted in the ceiling. When suspended, Flat Moon acts as both an up & down-lighter. As a mounted luminaire, it can be placed directly against the ceiling, or by leaving a space between the ceiling and lamp for additional indirect lighting effect. The recessed version is worked fully into the ceiling.

-
(New Products)
Soufflé

- The fluorescent lamps of SOUFFLE produce a diffuse light with a particularly pleasing effect. This look can be enhanced even further by using the color filter. The poly down model shines light directly downwards, while the poly up/down version creates a nice soft upwards and downwards light beam.
With its amorphous shape reminiscent of a ring-shaped cake, Soufflé bears the signature Modular look. It allows the lamp to shine from the depths as it were, creating a unique ambience and giving the Soufflé a mystical character. Its high level of coziness promises to make Soufflé a hit.

O'Leaf

- The O'Leaf symbolises an elegant flower with the wafer-thin OLED as the flower petals on a delicate stem. The O of O'Leaf refers to the technology and Leaf reflects its organic form.
The OLED or organic light-emitting diode is composed of organic molecules based on hydrocarbon bonds, whereas the traditional LED is made up of non-organic crystals. The most important difference between the two, however, is the fact that the LED emits focused light, whereas the OLED radiates a soft glow from all over its large, ultrathin surface. This ‘light cloud’ produces a calm, diffuse, glowing light that burgeons with creative potential.
The O'Leaf exists in black or white and is available as a ceiling light, wall fitting, standard lamp or table lamp.

Spock

- The SPOCK is the first valid alternative on the market to energy-unfriendly halogen lamps. It generates a luminous intensity up to 1000 lumens, which is comparable to the widespread classic halogen spot of 50 up to 75 watts. With a consumption of 22 watts the SPOCK performs at least three times better, which can only benefit our environment and our energy bills. Where the traditional halogen spot gives up the ghost after 5 000 hours, the SPOCK keeps on burning for no fewer than 50 000 hours (4 166 12-hour days). The technological revolution taking place inside the SPOCK does not imply aesthetics should suffer. Quite the reverse. Produced in cast aluminium with tactile powdercoating, the SPOCK is a perfect example of minimalistic design by Couvreur & Devos. Whether on the ceiling or wall or track-mounted, the SPOCK fitting packs more inside without being obtrusive. The result of painstaking design, the SPOCK does not leave a single lead showing: either on the rotating LED disc incorporated into an attractive, chrome plated ring hinge, or at the mains connection at the base of the fitting. The SPOCK shines through an ingenious design, refined to the last detail.

Nozzle

- NOZZLE, an innovative aerodynamic track spot. The most striking newcomer of the Modular range is NOZZLE, which combines technological ingenuity with simple and elegant design. This design by Gerd Couckhuyt, previously responsible for Modular’s Izar, is the clearest proof that Modular is continuing on the path of organic product development. Unlike traditional track spots, NOZZLE consists of one functional unit with two separate components, lamp case and ballast.
Harking back to the futurism of the 1920s, the striking, rounded design of NOZZLE looks like the cross section of an eye; the shape streams backwards smoothly into an ellipse and ends in a recessed airing vent.

Lotis tubed

- LOTIS TUBED, youngest shoot of the Lotis family. The Modular LOTIS family has always been very successful, right from the start. Until now LOTIS was only available as recessed fixture but now LOTIS TUBED changes all that, coming on to the market as a recessed and a surface mounted version.
LOTIS TUBED is a design by the Modular Design Team and as such is a thoroughly Modular design. The cylinder-shaped LOTIS TUBED is to be mounted as a ceiling fixture and is available in various contrasting colour combinations (matte black, matte white and gold). The quasi-invisible light source, typical for LOTIS, is carried on in LOTIS TUBED and gives the interplay of colours between interior and exterior an added dimension.

ACE of Diamonds

- ACE OF DIAMONDS is a striking innovation in the Modular range. The choice of material and the distinct contemporary design make ACE a unique decorative ambiance and design element, both for the inside and the outside. ACE OF DIAMONDS is a design by Luc Vincent and the Modular Design Team. The design concept behind ACE starts from the contrast between warmth versus cold: the cold of the material – the block of ice – against the warmth of a light source which determines the ambiance. As its name suggests ‘ACE OF DIAMONDS’ resembles a diamond ice sculpture, with a smooth and transparent surface on the outside and a frosted surface consisting of different facets, irregular shapes and
asymmetrical surfaces inside. The matt finish inside ensures that the functional components are not visible whether the LED is switched on or off.

Izar

- Izar is an innovative but uncharacteristic Modular product with organic, somewhat free-form styling that instantly distinguishes it from the rest of the Modular range. For Modular, Izar represents yet another step in the direction of emphatically organic product development. The most striking feature of Izar is undoubtedly the gently rounded and symmetrical styling, which is employed both on the front and the back of the unit. The design therefore gives the impression that the light is being ‘embraced’.
